Hi. I’m Lewis Dorigo.

I like making nice, accessible things on the web.

Dan Frommer gives his take on the iPad Mini:

My take after spending a bunch of the weekend with the iPad mini: This is the real iPad. With the exception of screen sharpness, everything about it is better than the bigger, “classic” iPad — and screen sharpness won’t be a deal breaker for the vast majority of people.

I got an iPad Mini for my mum and have been playing around with it quite a bit myself, and I agree. I didn’t think I’d like the smaller form factor, but I do. And, to be honest, the whole “screen” thing is a little blown out of proportion: it’s not as bad as some people make out. All devices I use: my iPad, my iPhone, and even my main computer (15” MBP) all have Retina Displays, and the display on the iPad Mini is something I could, not just live with, but enjoy. Yes, it’s not as good as what I’m used to, but it’s not terrible. I’d hesitate to even call it “bad”.

But back to the main point: I am seriously considering selling my iPad 3 and upgrading (or is that downgrading?) to the Mini. The size and weight are just great.
