INDEZ (where I work) recently published some device usage statistics. Aggregating 895,579 sessions from 10 of our larger clients, the stats cover a lot of different sites, and a lot of different types of user.

This month, for the first time, mobile devices (tablets, smartphones etc.) accounted for over half of all sessions on sites.

As would be expected, iOS holds the top spots — iPad taking 18.26% of all sessions, and iPhone taking 16.37%. In third place, with a measly 1.54% of sessions is the Samsung Galaxy S IV.

I’d have liked a break down of iPhone/iPad generation, and perhaps even iOS version, but beggars can’t be choosers, I guess.

I’d recommend heading over there, if you want to check out the full list.
