As promised, Apple is releasing a public beta of its latest Mac operating system, OS X Yosemite. Apple told me during a meeting earlier this week that the public beta would be released tomorrow, July 24.
Last year, when I bricked my MacBook while running the OS X developer preview (and corrupted my recovery partition, meaning I had to visit the genius bar), I vowed that I’d never try running pre-release OSs on my every-day machine.
But I’m super tempted to try the OS X Public Beta.
I mean, they’re making it available to the pubic. It must be stable enough, right? Right?
